I am beyond pleased with my experience of getting lip filler with Dr. Haworth! I was referred to him by a friend as her lips looked incredible after seeing him for lip augmentation with filler. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating when I called to make my appointment. They put numbing cream on me as it helps with making the injections less painful. Before even starting the injections, he analyzed my lips to see exactly how many syringes of juvederm would be needed to achieve the desired look I wanted as well as the exact placement of the filler.

I really appreciated that he took his time and the process did not feel rushed. The actual injections did not hurt that bad as the numbing cream helped as well as his technique of injecting. In the end my lips look incredible! The shape is gorgeous and they are perfectly plump without looking overly done. Will definitely return when I need a touch up.

I highly recommend him to anyone looking to have any facial fillers done.

I wanted to improve the proportions of my face for a better balanced, harmonious and youthful appearance. The lip lift was one of the proceedures as I have always have a rather long upper lip and that combined with a short nose did not look proportional.
I came last fall from Europe and had consultations with three different surgeons. My gut feeling was to go with Dr Haworth.

Consultation:
I was brought to a consultation room and offered refreshments. The staff is very kind. The waiting time was long but once the doctor came he took all the time I needed to discuss thoroughly about my case (it involved multiple procedures). He really listened to me and treated my views and wishes with respect (not all phycisians do that). He made a very serious, reliable and professional impression. I left the consultation with a good feeling (and all the financial information about my surgeries).

After I returned Europe I still had a 60+ minutes telephone consultation with Dr Haworth where he in detail discussed with me of all my planned proceedures (I had emailed his administrator my questions in advance so that he could prepare for our second consultation).

My operation was set for April the 6th and prior the operation the staff of Dr Haworth kept regularly in touch with me. The whole team is very friendly, accomodating and willing to take that extra step for the comfort and well being of their patients.

Day of the surgery:
I was greeted by my surgical nurse who was brisk and positive. She got me changed into the hospital gown and compression socks and introduced me to the rest of the team. She made me feel like I was part of the team myself! After a while, Dr Haworth came to the treatment room (not the operating theater) and did some small talk to relax me. Then he started marking my face. He had special jewelers glasses (with loops) on and a device (I don’t know its name) which he used to measure by the millimeter the surgery sketches he drew on my face. The marking took a long time, maybe 45 minutes. He was in no rush.

I was lead to the operating theater which I had already visited with my nurse. My anesthesia started with sedatives and I remember joking what good stuff it is.

Background: I have an upper lip that is not very harmonious with other features nor is it attractively shaped. My original upper lip length was 22mm. I had an upper lip lift with Dr Stephen Baker 6 months ago, so it is now 16mm. It was a traditional skin only lift. (For that experience, see my other review.) The corner and side areas of my lips curled under and down and I also had a corner that dipped down, all of which made my smile teepee-ish and a little grim. (For the latter, I had tried filler but it didn’t work.) So I wanted to see what I could do to help the side and corners of my upper lip.

Pre Op Experience with Dr Haworth’s staff:
Professional, kind and accommodating. No complaints. It was a good experience. They answered questions, had paperwork ready, helped in any way they could.

Pre Op Experience with Dr. Haworth:
Phone Consult: I first had an initial phone consult with him 8 months ago but ended up going with Dr Baker. Dr Haworth had recommended a series of procedures that were not within my budget and I was nervous about a lip lift that involved muscle hemming. On top of that, I was worried about a doctor who lived in Beverly Hills. I assumed the aesthetic I sought was not part of the Beverly Hills world.

In-person consult: He was professional. Offered his perspective on my previous lip lift with another doctor, which I requested. To wit, he said that Baker did a good job but that had I gone with him, Haworth, he would have been able to take out an additional 3-4 mm from the center and 8mm from the sides and that with his technique he would not have distorted my nostrils. Baker did not want to take out that much at once. Baker wanted to take it in stages. Baker had said he wanted to do an approach where he took off 8mm at first — but it has since dropped 1.5mm– and if I still wanted more taken off at one year post op, he would decide if it could be done without nostril distortion.

Dr. Haworth believes that the external medicalized lip lift he was suggesting I do would make a big difference in my lip’s appearance. I felt good about our consult and decided to go through with the operation, which was the next day.

Day of Surgery:
People in the office were nice and processional. Dr. Haworth spent an enormous amount of time marking my lips and then he put me under anesthesia for the procedure. It was twilight supposedly but I was completely and totally out. (With Dr Baker and the upper lip lift, I had a dental block of some kind and was awake and talking the whole time.) During the operation, Dr Haworth also, at my request, lazered my scar under my nose from previous surgery, which was raised..

I am now a few hours post op and so far so good. My lips are a little sore and achey but I am armed with pain killers so I will use them soon. I was told to expect swelling to increase over next few days. But in comparison with lip lip, this surgery should not take as long to recover.

I am returning to Dr. Haworth’s office in 5 days to remove the stitches.

When I met with Dr. Haworth, he told me everything I needed to do in order to get the best results. I had many consultations before him and have never seen anyone go into such detail. He brought up things no other doctor mentioned (because they haven’t done many of these procedures), I knew I was in good hands. He took so much time and couldn’t be any warmer. He showed me numerous before and after photos andI was so impressed and was amazed with the results. The day of the surgery he had marked my face with such precision, he use numerous devises to measure and mark me, I trusted him completely. I am so happy with what he did for me! I love my new lips and I continue to get compliments. If, perfect lips is what you want, in 1 visit, he’s your guy.

Do Your Homework, trust your gut, be patient and you will get it right the first time! I have been researching lip lifts before they were on the internet. Once I found this site, I followed the few dr’s doing this procedure. There was one dr. who’s work stood out the most and, I know he would give me my ideal desired look, Dr. Haworth, but but the difficulty of having to travel and stay for a week or so made me think twice. Unfortunately, in haste, I went against my gut and had the lip lift done by Dr. Baker – big mistake! I then called Dr. Haworth’s office for an appointment for a lip lift revision. His staff was so professional, compassionate and accommodating before, throughout and after the procedure, answering a multitude of questions. had my He has done more of these procedures than any doctor in this or any other country. when we met he told me everything I needed to do in order to get the best results. Also, unlike every other doctor that promised to show me the “many photos they have in the office”, he had more before and after photos on lip lift procedures alone , then I have ever seen.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Haworth and his staff. After years of doing my research, I am so glad I chose to go with him. Getting this procedure done was a huge decision for me and took lots of saving and penny pinching. I am only 3 1/2 weeks post op and I am STILL getting excellent care from the doctor and all of his staff, checking on me and communication is excellent. That office doesn’t have one snooty person in there and they all look very natural. I am from the midwest and I can say that is not the case here. He chooses his employees wisely. I saved many years to have a bad job fixed from a previous surgeon to be fixed by Dr.Haworth. Most importantly, I did a lot of research on the particular procedures I had done, and liked his methodology. I wanted my results to last much longer and be done right. I was so very very nervous and even almost backed out bc I was scared I might have another bad experience from a previous surgeon. In your research or state of nervousness be very very careful whos reviews or opinions you consider.

I have noticed some people write bad reviews as they are freaking out, or they are just people that are always unhappy and can never be satisfied even when they look better and the procedure was done right. I have seen some reviews where they are on multiple procedures in the same area and the doctors have warned them they can’t do it or give them the results they are dreaming of (everyone has a different canvas to work with)..so when I did my research I paid close attention to weed out those reviews, or any that sounded like they needed mental help not plastic surgery. I have worked in the beauty industry and around other doctors and I must say I believe I made the right choice. It cost me more to travel out of state for this, but its worth it and you will end up paying more if you are only seeking “convenience” like being local or a cheaper price, then having to have it fixed like I did. Dr.Haworth has probably the best bedside manner of any doctor I have been around.

My husband was with me which I was afraid somehow I would get embarrassed in front of my husband, yet Dr.Haworth never pointed out “flaws” in me, instead he focused on getting my features more in harmony with each other, so the total picture or face looked more pleasing in the end, like an artist would do. He was also very professionally, yet subtly and respectfully discussed financials in a way that didn’t call me out that I could not afford everything that was recommended yet instead put things in a way so we could get the best “bang for my buck”, so to speak, based on all I had to spend. I appreciated that very much. Dr.Haworth took his time and had me look through hundreds of previous patient photos getting the same procedure, and also went through even more with me personally showing me the different stages of healing. There were other patients in his office who were there, two of whom were thankfully very friendly and talkative, and had several procedures done over years with him. I couldn’t get over how young one looked and yet when I found out her age I was shocked. Yet not one photo or person looked “windblown” or “fake” at all. Beautiful, but realistic. That was reassuring.

I traveled out of state for this which got really complicated for me with a family, yet they stepped in and adjusted their schedules to accommodate me. The doctor made sure he saw me personally and came in on a day that would have normally been his day off. That was beyond a compliment. I didn’t even know docs like this still existed, who actually CARED about their patients and didn’t take the money and run. I truly feel cared for by this doctor and his office even in my still-ongoing recovery process. The staff has checked on me not just right after surgery but still I get communication via emails and calls checking on my progress and they appreciate the updates and photos and seem to like to be in the loop for your recovery process, not bothered at all. You don’t fee rushed in then rushed out and tossed after surgery to never be in contact with a doc and his office again like some offices. Star has even returned emails to my concerns on the weekend.

I knew my procedure would be a rough recovery, yet I am feeling well taken care of STILL at 3 1/2 weeks and all of my concerns are being tended to, and I am looking really good. I am beyond happy I chose Dr. Haworth and appreciate them so much. The 6 week mark will determine a little more realistic view of what I will look like, and hopefully numbness will subside and get my smile back, but currently I am healing well and looking good.

Dr Haworth is a very kind, intelligent surgeon. He spent a lot of time with me at my appointments and continues to monitor my recovery. I would highly recommend him for any plastic surgery. His office staff are very helpful and always returned my call or e-mail. I believe him to be, as well as many others one of the best plastic surgeons in the U.S.

I feel very fortunate to have found this surgeon. I have had several procedures with him, and they all turned out beautifully.

Dr. Haworth spend a lot of time answering all my questions and concerns. He was very informative on what to expect both as far as the actual procedure as well as post operative expectations. His staff were friendly, professional and accommodating. They were very helpful with my appointments as well as getting my financing in order before my surgery.

I am very happy with my procedure done by Dr. Haworth. Dr. Haworth has made me feel more confident and also more like myself. It took me a few years to get the procedure because I was scared and afraid of the procedure but after getting my procedure done I am go much happier that I finally got it done.
